Compassion I'm a socialist, but not a Marxist. Communism does not work and leads only to suffering and totalitarianism. But socialism has been achieved in European countries.

Socialism exists in universal healthcare in countries like the UK and in Canada. It exists in Social Security.

The government should be such that it actively helps out the people. To do this, the government should regulate industry more, because corporations can do a lot of harm to society.

Government should ensure everyone has healthcare, provided by it (non-profit organization!) Medicine should also be sold as affordably as possible. Bank mergers should be allowed only at government discretion.

Socialism is government takeover of some industries, not all. This is good, as some things should be left alone, and some things should be well regulated.
