i am an intelligent (emotional and intellectual) woman who has a strong passion for social justice and equality. i am interested in politics that work toward a fairer and more just world. i am more interested in impact on the ground than dogma. it feels like the politics of hate is taking over the world, where there is the othering and blaming such as immigrants or other groups of people. it seems easy to blame for all the issues of the world (or for ones own issues). i find that both the hard right and the hard left are good at dogma and intolerance.

i am interested in history and understand that historical context of many of our world issues. in my career i worked to help others empower themselves and have seen the huge disatvange of race, gender, class and others (disability etc). i do not think or see in black and white terms and have always worked within the grey. there is always two sided and a a need for compassion nd understanding. there is also a need for creativity and to look for solutions that may not fit within the conventional box.
